Council undertakes a number of projects, plans and strategies to help improve and identify its recreation services and any areas for improvement and forward planning.

Completed strategies

Council has developed a range of strategies that influence planning and the works undertaken on recreation facilities and reserves across Mount Alexander Shire. These include;

  • Investing in Sport
  • Cycling Walking Strategy
  • Let’s Play – Investing in Play
  • Mount Alexander Reserves Improvement Plan

Strategies in progress

Council is currently working on a Minor Reserves Strategy to document and develop plans for 10 minor reserves in the Shire. Council is also developing a Public Open Space strategy to plan the strategic direction for the development of open space within the Shire.
