Several online secure payment options are available through NAB, BPAY or BPAY View®. Make sure you have your bill or statement with you – you will need your Customer Reference Number, the Pay in Person Reference or BPay Biller Code. See more information below on how to register for BPAY View®.

Paying in person
You can pay in person at our Customer Service Centre. Full EFTPOS facilities are available, or you can pay by cash, cheque or money order.

You can also pay your Rates and some other payments at any Australia Post outlet. This will be indicated on your payment notice.
Paying by mail
Cheques or money orders should be made payable to Mount Alexander Shire Council and should be marked not negotiable. You can also pay by credit card. Please include the bottom section of your payment notice. For Planning Permits, please include your Permit Reference Number or property address details. Please send to:

Centrepay
You can arrange to have your Rates or Home Services payments set up as regular deductions from your Centrelink payment. This service is free and voluntary.
See the Centrepay website www.humanservices.gov.au/customer/services/centrelink/centrepay for more details on how to apply. To register you will need Council’s Centrelink Reference Number which is 555-055-431-A.

Sign up to BPAY View to receive your rates notice online via your internet banking service.
- Log in to your internet banking service
- Look for the BPAY View or View Bills link
- Select Mount Alexander Shire Council (Biller Code: 41749)
- Enter the BPAY Reference from your bill and your name (exactly as shown on your rates notice)
