Community Planning

In 2011, Council received State Government funding, to undertake a Local Community Planning Project (LCPP).

The project supported the development of local community-based action plans in nine local townships to articulate their needs and aspirations through the development of community plans.

• Castlemaine - This plan is currently being developed.

MAP2020 Community Plan

Developed in 2007, the MAP2020 Community Plan was the first comprehensive community plan for the Mount Alexander Shire, and represents the community's vision up to the year 2020.

The MAP2020 Community Plan was adopted by Council in December 2007 and continues to influence Council's planning for the future.
